How to support yourself this February
This year has officially kicked off and that usually means stress is loading up.
Stress in many capacities helps us grow.
In today's society it usually cannot be avoided so here's a few ways I manage it outside of massage or acupuncture.
Take or leave what you will:
Legs Up The Wall: the moment I get home after work.
Not because work is particularly stressful but it's a moment for my body to stop, rest and recalibrate.
I take inventory from the day, what went well, what didn't, how I can move forward doing better next time.
Meditation: there are many great mantras you can repeat here.
I've been experimenting with a Vedic meditation mantra "So Hum' that I learnt down at Freddy's Acupuncture to slow things down when life is getting chaotic.
'Meditation' has never truly hit for me before but its growing on me.
Frequency music : you can find these playlists on Spotify or wherever you listen to your music.
I've been playing these a lot lately after a death in the family. They are grounding and support you being in your body/heart, less in your head.
Notice: your physiology change, with these practices.
Your body may take involuntary sighs, involuntary muscle twitch, gurgling belly. That's your body/nervous system regulating.
These practices are largely YIN focused. That means they are nurturing, relatively passive and do not require high amounts of exertion.
These practices are shaping the way I show up as the best version of myself for you to provide great Holistic Remedial Massage services.
